Dogs

Are dogs allowed in the parks and open spaces in Three Rivers District?

 Yes.


However, dogs are not permitted in any play area, outdoor gyms, skate areas, courts, fenced picnic areas or where cattle are grazing and all dogs must be under control at all times.


As of 1 April 2016, a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) in relation to dog control came into effect across the Three Rivers district.

Fitness


I am a personal trainer, can I bring my PT session to parks and open spaces in Three Rivers District?

Yes.


If you are a personal trainer, fitness instructor or sports club and would like to use our parks or open spaces to hold a regular class or activity then please contact us for a weekly hire of grounds form.


N.B.  Using a park or open space without the land owner’s permission, invalidates insurance, so permission must be sought prior to use.

Events

 Can I hold a celebration event in parks and open spaces in Three Rivers District?

 Yes.

 

If you would like to organise an event in one of our parks or open spaces you must complete and submit a Hire of Grounds Form at least four weeks in advance of your event date.


We can then advise you on availability, permissions, planning your event and ensuring everything runs smoothly.


Please note:

  • Any gazebos used are to be secured with anchors that are above ground only such as sandbags etc, ground pegs are not permitted.


  • Sky lanterns are not permitted

Can I have a barbecue in parks and open spaces in Three Rivers District?

No.


Barbecues or any other form of fire are not permitted for the general public on land owned by Three Rivers District Council as per the byelaws.

Miscellaneous


Can I bring my school/day care settings minibus to the parks and open spaces in Three Rivers District?

Yes.


In the first instance please email leisure@threerivers.gov.uk so that access to the park/open space can be arranged.

 


Can I fly my drone/para motor/model aircraft/hang glider/power driven aircraft, in parks and open spaces in Three Rivers District?

No.


Flying air craft of any kind, taking off and/or landing is not permitted on land owned by Three Rivers District Council as per the byelaws, unless in case of emergency.
